As NuStar Energy L.P. has grown, so has our commitment to supporting the communities in which we have operations. Our partnership and our employees take great pride in giving back and building a brighter future for our neighbors by contributing time, talent, money and other resources to hundreds of community initiatives each year.

Our volunteers, known as the "NuStar Superstars," are active in their communities and spend many hours of their personal and professional time serving their communities through projects such as fundraising initiatives, community clean-up events and educational outreach programs. In 2012 alone, NuStar employees contributed over 90,000 volunteer hours to charitable and civic causes in the communities where the company has operations.

And, no organization does more to help us reach out to the community than the United Way. That’s why we’re so proud that 99 percent of our U.S. employees contributed to our record-breaking United Way campaign. What's more, our average per capita contribution is among the highest in corporate America! Thanks to our employees' generous gifts and our company match, we contributed $2.8 million to United Way -- a $400,000 increase over last year's record campaign! 

In addition, NuStar Energy L.P. hosted its sixth charity golf tournament in March 2012. The NuStar NuHope Golf Classic raised a record $3.7 million to benefit the homeless. In just six years, the tournament has raised more than $15 million!
