St. James Terminal Update
Wednesday, May 11, 2011

NuStar St James will suspend all deep draft vessel operations when the river stage reaches 32 feet at Donaldsonville, which is forecasted to reach this level on Friday (May 13).

We will suspend all inland barge marine activity when the river stage reaches 33 feet at Donaldsonville, which is forecasted to happen this Sunday (May 15).

There are currently no business impacts, but the current forecast indicates the marine activity could be suspended for one to two weeks. Currently, tug assistance is required for deep draft vessels at our facilities, and the US Coast Guard has issued high water restrictions for marine navigation from the mouth of the river to Baton Rouge.

Of course, we will be following this closely as there is no way to know if the forecasted predictions will materialize.
